BLIND RIVETS

Blind Rivets is also known as Pop Rivets , are tubular and are supplied with a mandrel through the center. A Blind Rivet is a mechanical fastener capable of joining workpiece together from one side of the assembly. They are used in applications where there is limited - or no - access to the rear side (blind side).

The rivet is placed in a pre-drilled hole through the parts to be joined and a specially designed tool is used to draw the mandrel into the rivet. This expands the blind end of the rivet and then the mandrel snaps off.
